‘Dignity in Care’ is an organisation that is driven by the care and commitment of it’s champions.  Everyone has a story to tell and we are seeking your contribution to help promote positive change in the way we care for our people in need, and in particular the elderly and people with cognitive impairment and dementia.

We are seeking positive paragraphs and stories (up to 2000 words) that illustrate how you have identified a shortfall or lack of dignity in care and tell us how you overcame it or simply share your story so others can help or learn from your experience. Please feel free to express any ideas or suggestions that will help to improve these situations.

Some examples of what you can share with us:

  • Systems or activities you have introduced to create positive change
  • Examples of amazing care and compassion
  • Ideas to improve hospital stays and the standards of aged care facilities
  • Have you ever witnessed a ‘random act of kindness’ that needs to be acknowledged. Let’s celebrate this person or organisation.
  • Have you witnessed a colleague , relative or worker that has gone above the call of duty in their caring role. Tell us all about it.
  • Do you have any thoughts on what needs to change in the way we care for the elderly or people with dementia. Share them.
  • Tell us great stories about our paramedics, security teams and police who also play a pivotal role in care.
  • If you have something to say about caring for people  – We are interested.
